"A poster linking eating meat with child abuse has been unveiled by an animal rights group in a County Durham town named as a national obesity blackspot.<br><br>
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) says Easington was targeted because of an obesity rate of 22% above the national average.<br><br><br><br>
It claims feeding meat to children is tantamount to child abuse as it is linked with life-threatening diseases."<br><br><br><br>

obviously the meat and livestock commision is gonna be against it. someone on Youtube once had the gonads to say that vegetarian children develop physical and mental disabilities and veggie parents are baby killers. I'd really like to know where people get their information

When I have kids, they will not be eating meat.. they will have the best food on their plate.. fruit vegs... etc.<br><br>
Another factor is that kids just do not want to be outside!!! For one my kids will not be allowed to watch tv, unless its educational or something... on occasion.... they wont be playing computer games (again unless educational very rarely!)... kids need to develop mentally by running about breathing fresh air.... i may be a harsh parent in the future, but i would only want what is best!!!!

Amen!<br><br><br><br>
I loved playing outside when I was a kid. Heck, I still like to be outside and have fun. I will even go outside with my kids and play (When I have them someday that is). All that vegan food will make them feel better and have more energy anyway.

I absolutely love the outdoors too!!!! I couldn't stand being stuck inside or anything all day.. when I'm ill it's a nightmare! I love going on long walks... even if it's raining!!! =)<br><br>
I can't stand the thought of millions of kids all over the world, not getting any fresh air and corrupting their brains with violent obscene computer games =(<br><br>
Sad world we live in =(

I relaly do believe that sticking posters up proclaiming feeding kids meat as being akin to abusing the child is going to get no-one anywhere. However, I'm certain that a few people willfind it highly patronising, so the poster will not be without any effect.

If I was omni and had omni children and someone told me I'm a child abuser, it might get me to think about what I was putting in my mouth and my children's mouths. /shrug
