I have done this before in Mississippi when i was 15, but now that i am older I am going to atempt it again in Georgia. I am going to write a letter to our senators and school every week until they either

A) Ban anaimal dissection or B) offer alternative projects.

Yes i know it is the teachers right to refuse to let a student have an alternative project in replace of dissection so that is why i am going a few steps above to make it mandatory for them to allow it. If i have to i will lobby this issue. People think that animal cruelty isn't that big of an issue, but it really is. I know there are bigger ones, but this is the issue i that is never addressed and i think it's about time that it is.

I think that's great. I just mailed a letter today to the summer program coordinator at my brother's school. I asked her to please rethink the biology course curriculum in which they're dissecting a pig and ban dissection or to offer a choice policy to the students instead of making it seem like everyone has to participate.
