Sorry if these have already been mentioned, but yummy! I love these! All the other Amy's varieties my store carries aren't vegan, but these are. They were on sale so I went back and bought a whole bunch of them. If you want a meat-substitute burger, then these are not for you, but if you like a nutty, grainy burger, they are.

I love these, too, especially grilled w/ bbq sauce. I'll eat "meaty" burgers, too, but much prefer these. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/lick.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":lick:">

eggplant, the other kinds aren't vegan? Like what? The other burgers? They have Texas, Chicago, and All-American burgers at Dominicks near me, and I think only one of those isn't vegan.<br><br><br><br>
I LOVE the Cali burgers! They're my fav. burger, but I ate way too many of them. Like everyday for a couple weeks...and now I'm sick of them. But I've been eating other stuff, so I'll buy some more next time. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":)">

I think they had the Texas and the All-American, and I don't think either were vegan. I could be wrong, although I'm a pretty careful label reader. Oh, the other possibility is that one of the varieties had sugar added, and since I don't eat sugar, I just lumped it in with the non-vegan one...

I, too, think that the California burgers are the only vegan ones (I swear the others have eggs or something...or maybe whey?). That's fine by me, because I actually prefer the Cali-style! Yum! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":)">

I have the Texas veggie burgers in my freezer and they are vegan (even says VEGAN in bold letters before the ingredients list)

Yeah, the Texas are vegan, and Amy's, I don't think, uses refined sugar. All her foods are really all-natural (I get SO SO SO SO SO annoyed when I see a food marked "All-Natural" then look at the ingredients and see it has refiend sugar in it!!!! Grrrr!). I'm pretty positive about this because I don't eat "sugar" either and I just had these about two months ago.<br><br><br><br>

"Sorry for the misinformation. Do they have sugar in them? That would explain my confusion."<br><br>

I don't know if they have sugar as I ate them and the box is gone (no I didnt eat that ;-) )<br><br><br><br>
But for me, I don't make a point of avoiding sugar although I don't use it much or buy things with much in it (as I buy few packaged premade things anyway). But I don't avoid it from my vegan point of view as I don't see the bone char as becoming part of the product or it's use as a contributing factor in the production of animals (ie, animals wouldn't be raised purely for bones for sugar refining .... and other methods would be used if cheap bones weren't available)<br><br><br><br>
I suppose it's a grey area

The sugar thing for me is not a vegan issue. I just don't want to eat sugar. I'm like an alcoholic who can't even have one drink, so I try not to eat products that have any kind of added sugar other than fruit juice. It's just a personal thing. If the burgers had molasses or evaporated cane juice or something I probably wouldn't buy them.

Sugar for me isn't a vegan issue either, I due it for health and taste reasons, mainly. I think the burgers had evaporated cane juice, though.<br><br><br><br>

That's one of the symptoms of sugar abuse .... lack of short term momory causing one to repeat one's self ... hehhe (kidding) :)
