Hello everyone! Hope you are all well.

I have a question about a multivitamin called Alive. My mother picked me up a box today and suggested I take them. Thing is, I'm concerned about the iron levels. The kind she bought me has 18 mg of iron in it, which says is 100% of RDV. I also include a lot of iron rich foods in my diet, such as spinach and beans, etc. My diet is actually really healthy and well-rounded. So, my question is, is it safe to take a multi with that much iron in it? How much is actually lethal? Does anyone have any experience taking this particular multivitamin?

Thanks!

I remember reading you do not want excess iron! If you know you have adaquete iron levels, you shouldn't supplement. My levels went up after going veg*n. Probably because of all the dark leafys!

She should see if they can be returned or exchanged. Look at all these Alive! vitamins:

This interested me because I used the Alive multivitamin shake in the beginning. I really loved it, and only used 1/2 a scoop of powder with a glass of OJ. It is vegan.
I recommend the Whole Food vitamins no iron.
