I am loving this show. It's like LOST, plus a typical detective show, plus Jorge Garcia, plus Alcatraz.

Any theories as to what the
thing in the room that needs three laser-cut futuristic keys to get into? I think it'll end up being a government experiment, they had time travel, or something. Or maybe aliens?
I like this show too.
I am so pleased to see "Hurley" in a new show. I think Mr. Abrams has another winner with this one. I hope people are watching it!! I am sure it is some kind of government experiment... but who knows? Will be fun finding out!

Then again, everyone was "sure" that the smoke monster was an alien, a nanobot cloud, a god, a tool of the Others, and Satan, and look how that turned out, so we might just be wrong altogether.

LOL yep could be something totally different
As I said... gonna be FUN!! Hope the show gets viewers so it will stay on the air. Nothing I hate more than getting into a show only to have it cancelled with no closure to the story.

Tell me about it. After V and FlashForward, I learned that it's easy to get invested in something only to have it snatched away from you.

I am ashamed to admit that although I couldn't wait for this show , I have failed at watching it and keeping up. I love Jorge Garcia (vegan, puppy lover, and my celebrity crush btw
) and been following his blog as well as his posting on another popular veg message board...for awhile now.

I am planning on an Alcatraz marathon this weekend and watching all the episodes so I will be fully caught up and invested in it. Hopefullly this will fill the void Lost has left within me as long as it doesn't have a similiar crappy ending!!

Jorge's blog: http://furtherdispatches.wordpress.com/ He's such an amazing guy.

I missed the pilot and somehow failed to record it, but I have Video on Demand and two hours before the second episode aired, I watched the pilot and have been able to stay caught up with the series. Not having seen Lost, I am missing any similarities between the two shows, so for me Alcatraz is something new, and it's kind of interesting. Plus I like the fact that it's a fantasy-type series built around a real prison, so that adds to the mystique of the series.

ETA: I also think it's kind of funny that whatsername the character (can't remember it at the moment) always has Chinese food for breakfast.

OMG you need to watch LOST the second you can! Seriously amazing show. I think it might be on Hulu, not sure, I know it's on Netflix though.

LOST was amazing! I wound up initially watching the show on DVD when the shows were being aired on TV during the fifth season. Everyone was going crazy over the show when it first came out, which was initially a bit of a turn off for me, so I figured I'd watch it at my own leisure. And I was hooked right away, I totally understood the hype. So I got current with all of the DVDs and watched each episode on TV (or Hulu) as it came out weekly. And each week seemed like an eternity because you want to know what's going to happen next.

A lot of people were disappointed with the ending. I know I wasn't. I bawled my eyes out to an extreme degree. I'm still not even sure why, I guess it was just so epic...

Speaking of which, I haven't gotten any comments on my current avatar, which is LOST-based.

<3 Alcatraz, though I'll admit I only started watching it because of Sam Neill, because he is simply amazing. I think the blonde could have been better cast.
