She is praised for her actions, by airport officials, but still doesn't have her job back.<br><br><div class="quote-container"><span>Quote:</span>

Now, a month after the incident at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, the dog has recovered. And Jones, while her former employer and airport officials have praised her for her actions, remains without her old job.</div>

WTF? How can they possibly justify returning that dog to a person who had, at the very least, obviously severely neglected him/her?

As horrible as the dog's conditions sound in that article he(she?) should have been adopted out or at the very least fostered after receiving medical care. It's very sad that they just returned him like that. Poor thing. At least someone tried to stand up for him.

I definitely applaud this woman. It takes real guts to stand up for something you believe in so much that you put your job on the line. Reminds me of those "what would you do" shows.

I know some of you think hunters are inhumane and the scum of the earth but it might surprise you that the vast majority that bird hunt with dogs actually care a great deal about their companion animals.

I applaud the woman too, although if one reads the article to the end the "firing" over her actions is questionable. She was sent home for the day, yes, but then it appears she just quit showing up for work on subsequent days.

<b>Reno airport worker gets job back after dog fiasco</b><br>
\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBy Scott Sonner<br><br>
RENO, Nev. (AP) - A Nevada woman fired about three weeks ago for refusing to load an emaciated hunting dog on a plane at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport is taking her job back.<br>
Lynn Jones, who had worked more than five years as a baggage handler for St. Louis-based Airport Terminal Services, accepted her employer's offer to give her the job back, and said she hopes to put the flap behind her.<br>
"We're like a family at ATS," Jones told KRNV-TV ( <a href="http://bit.ly/tBUpqe" target="_blank">http://bit.ly/tBUpqe</a>). "We fight, we make up, and we move on. I hope we can move on from this."<br><br><br>
...<br><br><br><br>
[Oddly, this story appeared at the same URL as the original "firing" story.]

It's always nice when people do the right thing. I'm glad she got her job back <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":)">

It's good that people have mobilized behind her, and more precisely behind the whole event. It show that we can change things if we do more that just sitting watching tv.

This comment seems totally irrelevant to this thread.

I read the article to the end. Where does it say that?<br><br>
I've read several places she was "fired," and then in this article it says she was offered the job back with back pay. Where do you see anything "questionable?"

There were actually two articles. The one about her reinstatement replaced the original one about her being fired.
