An estimated 35% of Adventists practice vegetarianism, according to a 2002 worldwide survey of local church leaders.[38][39]

Be cautious in speaking about Adventists as though they are all--or almost all--vegetarians.

This is a much higher rate than the general population, but far less than 100 percent and not even a majority.

Vegetarian food is still a requirement at official Adventist church functions. So it does make the practising of vegetarianism a lot easier.

But the article is not merely about vegetarianism, but about the Seventh Day Adventist church being the fastest growing church in North America and how they do things differently from other church denominations.

I am troubled, however, by the lack of emphasis in Adventist circles on pacifism. I've thought of actually becoming one, if it weren't for this obmission. The Mennonites, Quakers, Brethren, Amish do a much better job in that regard.

Why not be whatever you wanna be and deviate from the mainstream?

The fact I find most straight-edge vegans to be pretentious ultra militant pinheads doesn't diminish the things I like about it for me, to use a similar analogy.

If you ever fit in fully with any group, watch out. It means you're probably not thinking.
