alright, i know alot of people believe that doing crunches will not slim down your waist, and make it bigger/bulkier if anything. this did not happen for me! i started doing crunches before bed every night..when im watching tv...just whenever, and im seeing awesome results. i read somewhere that excess fat goes to where its easiest for your body to store it, aka non muscular areas. muscle burns fat, we all know that, so we should all realizes that crunches (plus cardio and healthy diet of course) will help abs noticably.

so yea thats my two cents if anyone was intrested

I dunno, I did crunches every night for a while and then stopped because I didn't see any results. I'm starting again now... How long did it take you to see a difference?

it took me about a month to start seeing results. once you see them and keep doing crunches, those results will stay

Theory states that the crunches won't selectively lose *fat* at the waist ... but that increased muscle tone can reduce belly pooch. Also, exercise burns abdominal (apple) fat a little faster than other fat stores. Crunches won't cause much increase in bulk of muscle at the waist; they're high repitition rather than high resistance exercise.

Besides -- it's good for you. What's the downside?
