Hummus!!

Because I said so, no seriously because it can be made so many ways and always be tasty. A great on the go food, just pack some in a little jar and take some crackers and you have a meal later.

I would have voted chocolate but it was not an option

i was so torn.. hummus or cashewnut butter..... but i'm biased cos i can't eat bread and so it feels like there is less i can do with cashewnut butter.

cruel cruel poll (i nearly typed cruel cruel spread there lol).

i bet if a really good vegan hazelnut chocolate spread was on this poll there would be no contest.

Same here. I voted for baba ghanouj. It actually makes eggplant edible!

(no offense to eggplant lovers).

dude. Cashew butter.

Then again, I've never had baba ghanouj or vegenaise, and I have no urge to try the latter.

Sadly I had to go with vegannaise. I will not (ever) eat eggplant and hummus is too strong for me to put on a sandwich.

Oh and I don't like cashews. lol

baba is like goumet hummus...

or maybe it just seems that way cause i eat 3 times as much hummus as babaghanouj...

either way, i can eat loads of either. it was a hard choice but at the time baba came out on top.

hummus. I like my eggplant fried, with sauce, layered with tofu, sliced thin, instead of cheese. Vegannaise has to be mixed with something like chickpea 'tuna' or on a hearty bread for a veggie sandwich. I ony tried the baba g stuff once when I made it and it didn't come out very good.

that was hard! It was a toss up between Hummus and Veganaise. I just discovered the veganaise lately so it is like a new obsession with me so I picked that one. Not all hummus is equally as yummy to me though. I like the Cedars' Hommus Tahini.

This is not lighthearted - it's hard! I can't even vote yet as I'm going to have to think about this all evening.

Baba ganoush is my favorite. Hummus is great, but it's so common now that it's produced in huge batches in factories and sold in every supermarket. Besides, I love eggplant!

Quote:

I've had bad hummus & bad baba. Bad hummus is inedible; bad baba is just ok. I've had good hummus & good baba. Good hummus is tasty, good baba is orgasmic.

For this to be fair, I need to have Baba Ghanouj made properly for me. I made it once and tried it, and it was AWFUL. So, I voted for Hummus since I'm allergic to cashews, and don't like veganaise that much.

I voted hummus. Although I love baba ganoush too I've yet to make it successfully myself whereas I've never screwed up hummus! But baba ganoush is great... arghhh. Not a fair poll!!!
