Please share any Public Domain Torrents that are within Copyright:

At the site below are 845 movies, all within Copyright. Download 10 to 20 a day if you have DSL and burn to DVD. Within a few weeks one will have a very good collection.

http://www.publicdomaintorrents.com/

I LOVE older movies, they seem to have more depth, meaning and better to watch than present day movies that mostly seem to be formula made.

Enjoy !!

Are they all old movies? I was looking for a new movie for a friend, he can't buy the movie in the country that he's in so he has to download it online. He's got it now but some of the stuff that comes on the dvd he doesn't have on the version he downloaded. The movie is Rocky Balboa btw, do you know of a place where he can try downloading it again....legally would be good

These movies are free because (for whatever reason) they're in the public domain. Most because the copyrights expired (they're old).

Here's info on Night of the Living Dead from Wikipedia...

Quote:

Night of the Living Dead lapsed into the public domain because of the neglect of the original theatrical distributor, the Walter Reade Organization, to place a copyright notice on the prints. In 1968, United States copyright law required a proper notice for a work to maintain a copyright. Image Ten displayed such a notice on the title frames of the film beneath the original title, Night of the Flesh Eaters. The distributor removed the statement when it changed the title.[81] According to George Romero, Walter Reade "ripped us off."

New movies are within Copyright. These don't interest me as they give very little help for dealing with the post oil era. All info. I get are out of Copyright however are very suitable with subtle info. for dealing with post oil.

Bumping this because I've downloaded a couple of movies off this tonight, FREE (and legally).

http://www.publicdomaintorrents.com

There are some pretty good movies there, old, but good. (And a whole lot of B to Z grade oldies, too, but they are free!)
