*butterfingers (worst commercial candy ever, in my humble opinion)

*kraft lite mayo and kraft real mayo

I love Amy's pest pizza, lived on sugar cereals as a kid, butterfinger-one of my favorite chocolate bars, silken tofu chocolate pie, mmmmmm.

bluewisdom I actually like creamed corn, as long as it isn't made with too much milk/butter/salt/sugar...a little bit of those things go a LONG way when it comes to corn. I have had terrible creamed corn though...where it was more like this mushy bowl of corn flavored milk. Bleh.
07-08-2005 04:53 AM
Elena99 Eww, creamed corn.
07-08-2005 04:48 AM
anthony11 Gah! I'd managed to forget about creamed corn.

Lelena How could I forget creamed corn. I have nightmares just thinking about it.

Dovely I'm not a big fan of some vegetables such as mushrooms, celery, and green beans, but nothing is more disgusting than a potato. They truly have to be the grossest things ever. I have always hated them - I can't stand the smell of them or their texture, especially when they are all mushy and nasty, like in fries or mashed potatoes. yuck!

I pretty much only eat carrots raw (love em), glazed (love em more than Jesus) or stir fried (tolerate them). I don't really like them in soup, or otherwise boiled.

hollyberry mangos and papaya-yuck! i keep trying them both over and over because i feel like i should like them, but no. mangos are sorta hairy on the inside-bleh.

green beans that are stringy, gag.

canned spinach-omg the grossest grossest stuff ever.

That reminded me - I hate frozen carrots - they are so watery and don't taste like anything. A complete waste! I ended up buying a bag for hubby and I and neither of us liked it - the whole bag ended up in the compost!

SystmDwnGrl2 I love capers..love love love them. I love pretty much anything pickled and vegan though.

Good question - I don't care for the things either.

On mangoes: I've met at least one person with a skin allergy to them. If he eats the stuff and gets any on his lips, he gets hives bigtime.

porvida I can't understand not liking mangos!

I have one practically every day. theyre so juicy and it does make a mess but.......mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I never liked mangoes either until a few years ago. That's because my dad, who ADORES mangoes, kept pushing them on me and pushing them on me. One day I tried dried mango and liked it. I was then willing to give fresh mango a try and decided that I was missing out on something great. Now I really like mango.

It's interesting to see how our tastes in food - as well as in other things - change with time.

But I will never ever ever like honeydew. Ever.

Amy SF And capers. <shudder> What is the point of capers?
07-06-2005 03:14 PM
Amy SF I'm not a big melon lover. I'll have some cantaloupe if put in front of me, but I won't go out of my way to eat it. I hate honeydew with a passion. The other melons I can take 'em or leave 'em, including watermelon. I also don't care much for pineapple, but I'll eat it if there's not much else to eat.

You'd probably be afraid of dried pears, if I told you what they remind me of

Tiggzie Peanut butter and jams/jellies. Especially together...yikes.

And relish must die.

As for whole foods, brussel sprouts, melons, olives (allergic too) and fennel are not my thing.
07-06-2005 10:05 AM
rabid_child There are three vegetables that I don't like, though I do eat a piece periodically to remind myself that I don't like them. (I'm always hopeful that I will one day)

Artichokes, Asparagus, Brussell Sprouts

I also hate white potatoes in their baked or mashed form.

Gracie Olives. I can't even pick them off something and eat it. Whatever the olive has touched is contaminated with olive-flavor.

And eggplant. I've tried & tried to like it, but it's always either fibrous or bitter. Actually, I had good eggplant once, in a Chinese restaurant in Nashville. The eggplant was all creamy & yummy...That's why I keep trying to eat it, but I've never found any like that again.

Red Delicious is my least favourite, too. I don't like their spongy texture too much. Apparently, however, they are one of the most healthful apples for you.
