I'm so glad that you're going to be sharing life with a furry person again! ![]() |

O.K., so I was certainly excited and happy when our youngest son, Thomas, graduated H.S. and his brother, Peter, arrived safely from Los Angeles that night -- but the *really* amazing news is that we now have the most adorable and wonderful kitty living with us -- dear, sweet Lyla. ![]() She is actually Peter's cat, and we agreed to take her in for the Summer and possibly beyond, depending upon where he's living in the Fall, when he starts Law School. If it's a dorm, Lyla will certainly stay with us for the year (which is what I'm hoping for <grin>). But if she goes back to her "father" (does this make me a grandma?!!), we'll adopt a kitty from the shelter. Been way too long since we've had furry companions -- our dear cats passed away, several years ago. But unlike before, I have become much more aware of a number of issues and would like Lyla to be kept indoors exclusively. This will definitely present new challenges and be a learning experience, as our past cats were always outside (no litter boxes, scratching posts, toys, places they needed to learn not to jump up on, etc.). Be that as it may, I'm so excited and happy to have her! She's really a sweetie and absolutely gorgeous -- a long hair mix in shades of brown and black with tail like a feather duster. I think I'm in love! ![]() Shalom, Earthsong |
