|revelsunrise||OH, I forgot to add earlier. One of my favorite things about vb is Tame. He never fails to make me chuckle.|

|SystmDwnGrl2||I swallow as long as it is safe for human consumption...may be unvegan though|
|06-13-2004 05:25 PM|
Do you swallow?
|06-13-2004 05:22 PM|
I lick and suck...
|06-13-2004 05:20 PM|
|Marie||I suck in real life.|
|06-13-2004 05:13 PM|
Do people suck in real life? Dunno.
I am the same in cyberspace or in person. One bad mamba jamba who likes to drink, swear, and gamble.

I like VB because I am guaranteed that I'll be able to laugh at someone (and sometimes more then one person!) on a daily basis. And, if I'm very lucky, Tame will post something snide.
I don't like how people are discrediting my omnism by calling me the "fake omni", "not a real omni" and "flexatarian." These are hurtful words, demeaning my omnism and I want more respect from you people.

I also have found that VB filled a painful void in my life, as vitually all my acquaintences and family are omni. How wonderful that there is a place where like-minded people "understand" - have similar angers, frustrations, needs and joys. I had been veg*n for several other periods in my life, and I am ashamed to admit, went back to meat eating. In large part I attribute this to the difficulties of treading a path alone and feeling isolated -- but this is true no longer. I am so happy that August 25 will mark my 2-year anniversary.
Must also echo other's sentiments that I feel welcome inspite of the fact that I am currently following the ovo-lacto route. Although I gave away or sold (& gave the money to a local shelter) all of my leather products quite some time ago, buying only cruelty free, I know that I have a ways to go. With the help of the good people here, I feel that there's no limit to what I can do. Only occasionally I must admit that it's just a tad strange, being one of the seemingly few older posters, as I'm 51 with 3 grown children. But then I've always been a bit of an individualist. Thanks for all you have given me, VB people.

|GhostUser||people do suck in real life. maybe thats why i dont say anything, or i might just go off on the rest of the population.|

Speak for yourself, chump. IamJen is confident that the VeBoCon attendees will be amazed at her wonderfulness. (as will I toward them)

Aw... I was teasing. For what it's worth, everyone I met at Cedar Point last fall was really cool. I wish I knew people like that around here.

none of you guys would find me fun in real life, im very monosyllabic and dont show much emotion. just sorta blank. but when i get excited..im more excited than chicks on speed! VB lets me atleast speak and express. the only place i do that in real life is in classroom debates and at shows. so i thank VB for that outlet! and for those of you who dont know, my friends call me monosyllabic because of this song :
I take her to the aquarium, she says shark
I take her to the planetarium, she says dark
I take her to the seaside
Where she likes to spin and twirl
She says sure and cool and yeah
She's my monosylabic girl
I take her to the university, she says huh
I take her to anniversary, she says one
I take her to jewelry store
I say diamonds, she says pearl
Oh everyone knows I'm in love and yeah
With a monosylabic girl
so VB allows me to be a little more than monosyllabic. plus everyone is so fscking happy on VB, its not like we ***** and moan and whine about everything all the time, if VB was a person they would glow bright yellow!

|GhostUser||I've met people from the other forum I used to frequent. Five of us went on a roadtrip to Louisiana. It was cool..I needed bail money by the time the trip was over, but fun nonetheless.|

|GhostUser||thanks for crushing my optimistic dreams there, micheal. for a minute i had faith in the human population.|
|06-13-2004 12:31 AM|

That's because people suck in real life.
|06-13-2004 12:26 AM|

The support that I have always received here has always meant the world to me... You are an amazing (and quite varied) group of people; never change!
(It doesn't hurt that I met one of my very best friends on the boards... It will always have that going for it if all else fails. )

|Michael||I don't discriminate. I'm a lover not a figher.|
|06-12-2004 11:52 PM|
You mean you "think the mod chicks are hot", right? right?!?!?!
|06-12-2004 11:15 PM|
you are right, we have some really pretty wimmin here and some hansum guys too! vegetarians are beautiful and this board proves it!
|06-12-2004 11:09 PM|
Veggie chicks ARE crunchier. And less likely to eat their mates.
|06-12-2004 10:58 PM|
|Michael||I just think the chicks are hot.|

|GhostUser||That's great revel. The longer I'm here, the more I like this place. I've talked to some great people here, and got some great ideas. At the beginning of next month I'll be starting my way towards veganism, and I can truly say I'm excited because I know I can come here and get support, get some recipes, and have a good laugh.|

I joined vb about a month after becoming a vegetarian. I have to fully admit that I don't think I would have made it at times if it weren't for these boards. The people here were completely amazing to me and helped me answer a lot of questions about being veg*n. They gave me plenty of ideas about quick and easy veg-friendly meals. More importantly, they gave me a bunch of love and support that I didn't get from most of my omni friends. BTW...5 months now and still going strong!!!! Thanks everybody!
Oh, and Michael is brilliant.

|06-12-2004 02:18 AM|
|GhostUser||LOL Biz the "peanut gallery" are people who's opinions are insignificant, OR insignificant criticism.|
|06-12-2004 02:12 AM|
|bizarro||whats a peanut gallery?|
