Tom I stopped off at the health food co-op and lugged home 24 pounds of quick-cooking, organic oats. MUESLI-RAMA! (unless muesli, by definition, means only steel-cut or thick oats which must be cooked...) I was wondering if I could have handled a full 50-pound bag. Doable, I suppose, but tough... the bus was crowded during the after-work rush, and I have to walk 5-1/2 blocks from where the bus drops me off to my place. (short blocks, but still....) I would have had to stop several times to rest. Anyway, that's my workout for today instead of a stop at the gym.

The last thing I got from the regular grocery store was either a 10-pound bag of potatoes or some nice, ripe Anjou pears.

Ferncat So excited! Costco has the 3 pack of Field roast sausage again. They seem to get it in the summerish months and they have it now. Stuff I came home with:
Yellow Squash
Vodka
Shallots
Onions
Peanuts
Field roast burgers
Field roast sausages- Chipotle, Italian & Apple Sage

That's a couple of places, mostly UK supermarkets (I get a regular big shop for fresh stuff from one then pop into another for specific items to store) plus a local health food shop for the tofu burgers.

Glad you're enjoying the experience and welcome to the forum @oldmanveggie
Thank you Spudulika.

Unfortunately I don't like cooking, but a lot of the things I purchased can simply be baked or microwave heated. I did buy a pot so I can boil pasta and things of that nature.

I think the more I progress into the diet, the more I'll probably start to cook (hopefully!).
