You could be missing something in your diet. Talk to a nutritionist, and discuss supplements. You only get one set of teeth, so don't mess around with this one.
Make sure you're using a good all natural toothpaste. I like Nature's Gate with the bamboo powder. Just stay far away from fluoride in toothpaste and at the dentist. It's not the same fluoride your teeth need. For a natural source of fluoride, drink a cup or two of green tea a day. Gunpowder green tea is the best. Make sure to swish it around your mouth before swallowing it. Xylotol gum has also been shown to strengthen enamel. Under no circumstances should you ever chew gum with aspartame or sucralose, though.

Regarding tooth issues. It could be as simple as changing your toothbrush and how to brush. It's best to always use a soft toothbrush. Plaque is soft and easy to remove so a soft bristle is all you need. Also never press down too hard while brushing teeth. If you are not sure how hard to press down, use the 3-finger method. Use only your thumb, pointing finger and middle finger to brush teeth.
If you don't do the above, eventually you could start losing the enamel on your teeth, and the enamel will never return.
I got all this advice/instruction from my own dentists (2 have told me same thing).

|seanE||seems good stuff i hope the little guys are taking it they say lack of k2 is why every one has buckley teeth this days, it keeps calcium out of the cartilage that makes up the jaw so it can grow to it's full potential|

|starmama||Hi- haven't been on here in a long time (became a mama twice) but was interested in this thread. As far as Vitamin K2 goes, there is a vegan source- from natto. I take a supplement for exactly this reason called Plant Calcium by My Kind Organics. Look into it after seeing a dentist! And I'm not a spokesperson for them... just your regular vegan mama|

|seanE||this is so funny. i am not denying any thing no one likes going to the dentist. when it seemed like there was no other option but go, i said sarcastically in a funny joke kind of a way by no means meant to be taken seriously kind of a way ''fillings give you '''MANBOOBS'' lol lol lol LOL|
|05-05-2015 12:53 PM|
Everything you read on the internet must be true.
Assuming you do have cavities, what is your reason for not wanting to see a dentist? The only reason you've given so far is that fillings would give you manboobs, which you're now denying you said for some reason. So again, what is your reason for not wanting to see a dentist?
|05-05-2015 12:29 PM|
im not saying one tooth filling is going to give you man boobs it just some thing i read on tho internet some people are taking this all way to serious
im glad to see some people found it amusing

|ocrob37||You are young and will be totally fine. It is hard at your age, but you need to floss every day. It is important to go to the dentist to have the plague cleaned from your mouth. I floss everyday and brush well but you need a professional to get rid of the bad stuff. I went today and it is never pleasant but worth it.|

So you were saying that tooth fillings have estrogen in it and they would cause you to have manboobs? They don't. I have a family member who has done plenty of fillings and he doesn't have manboobs.
Also, for every article you pull out on the dangers of soy, someone else can pull out another one on the benefits of soy. The article you posted, has a link to the Weston A Price foundation. A foundation that, like someone has explained here before, is against a vegetarian lifestyle. As a vegetarian, I don't know why you would want to post an article that uses that website as a source.

''JOKE'' i said choose your poison white fillings=estrogen mercury=madnes, becase you all said go see a dentist..... Nature bond called me a sexist for saying manboobs are caused by soy and other estrogen producing things like white fillings.... some people here seem to think men have boobs thay DOINT..... THE ONLY REASON I SAID THAT ABOUT SOY WAS I READ AN ARTICAL A WHILE BACK ABOUT HOW THE JAPS NEVER EAT UNFERMENTED SOY BE CASE THAY KNOW THE HUMAN BODY COULD NOT PROSES IT
|05-04-2015 01:40 PM|
You haven't given a single good reason as to why soy should be avoided, but if you want to avoid it yourself, go ahead.
Like no whey jose said, what the heck does all this this have to do with your cavities? You said you're 16, so what do your parents think about you refusing to see a dentist?

All men have breasts. This is because every fetus begins its embryonic life as a female.
I don't understand what chicken breasts have to do with this, or what any of this has to do with seeing a dentist about your cavities.
|05-04-2015 01:04 PM|
theirs nothing sexist about it MEN ARE NOT SOPOSED TO HAVE BOOBS i'm sure of it wikipedia has clear diagrams
every one knows chicken Brest are why you see men now a days very over weight with manboobs the only reason i rise this is as a vegan your told you''l be fine as long as you eat soy when we really should be avoiding it... i rest my case

The idea that soy and soy products causing manboobs is an ignorant myth propagated by an sexist society is described as follows:
Soy contains estrogen. Estrogen is a female hormone. Therefore eating soy will cause men to have female characteristics, like breasts. Having female characteristics is bad because being female is less good than being male. Therefore, men must avoid soy.
Soy contains less estrogen than dairy. If soy did cause breasts, all the men walking in a western country would have breasts because soy is in nearly EVERYTHING.
Men already have breasts, anyway. You know those things your nipples are on? Those are boobs.
Here is a very easy to read article on it from the Huff Post.
Additionally, just because you do not like the answers you get does not mean you can dismiss them as irrelevant. Unfortunately in life, when the evidence and answers lead to unfortunate conclusions for our preexisting believes, it is our beliefs which must change, because the facts never will.

im guessing your a vegan i eat very little dairy my self but soy was never eaten dried its promated as vegans best frend but it rely is animal fother of all the healthy foods you could eat it is the worst
and in relation to ''' soy will NOT cause you to have man boobs. That is nothing more than an ignorant myth promoted by a sexixt culture.''' iv just no idea what you mean

choose your poison plastic=estrogen=manboobs or mercury=insanity
thanks for your unsatisfactory reply's
|05-03-2015 12:42 PM|
LOL, OK, but that doesn't sound very appetizing, and it's not necessary. Your body converts vitamin K1 (from plant sources) into vitamin K2.
Now come on, younger brother! Get off the computer and go see your dentist! Your teeth will thank you.

|seanE||ok but your wrong dave google sticky roten soy beans thay have vit k 2|

|no whey jose||You absolutely can get all your necessary nutrients from plant foods, but nutrition isn't going to fix your cavities. You need to see a dentist. That's not what you want to hear, but it's true. No one here is going to tell you that you can heal your cavities with acai powder and DHA supplements because that's untrue and we aren't selling anything.|

seanE, your link is to the Weston A. Price Foundation, an organization that actively criticizes vegetarian diets: http://www.westonaprice.org/health-t...go-vegetarian/. Their anti-vegetarian stance is challenged by the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association (both of which praise vegetarian and vegan diets).
Regarding vitamin K2, it's only found naturally in animal sources: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=vitamin+k2+sources . However, your body creates its own vitamin K2 by converting vitamin K1 (which is found in plant foods): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin..._K2_in_animals

|jessandreia||There's a difference between being able to help others regarding what they are doing wrong with their diet (ex: lack of calories, where to get certain nutrients), and portraying the role of a dentist.|
|05-03-2015 10:23 AM|
|seanE||any vegans i know are interested health thats why i though the vegan health catigory would be the best place to ask this question|
