Jamie in Chile | Lydia's new for soy milk I don't recall but I do remember the stevia. Thinking about it Breaking Bad seemed to be in favour of mainstream stuff, Hank the hero liked a good barbecue, whereas the person trying to be clever with their stevia - well the stevia didn't really work out so well for her.

Lydia from breaking bad may be vegan as well. She was always asking for soy milk in the cafe. it seems the actress maybe vegan as well. (Can't be sure as google doesn't have any definitive results) There's a huffinngton post which says the actress was enjoying vegan Haggis in her summer home or something. http://list.wikia.com/wiki/Fictional_vegetarians It doesn't seem like Phoebe from "Friends" is very serious about being a vegetarian. In the one where they went to Las Vegas she said she was going to get a 99 cent steak. Monica said, "But you don't eat animals." Phoebe responded, "For 99 cents I'd eat you." She sold her ethics for 99 cents. I like Prot from the movie "K-Pax" and the Vulcans from Star Trek. In one episode of Voyager Tuvok said to Neelix something like, "I'll eat anything you serve me." Did he mean anything except meat? It seems established in Enterprise (I haven't seen much of TOS) that Vulcans are vegetarians but I have not heard any references to Tuvok being a vegetarian. |

Jamie in Chile | Had to look up who you mean from Breaking Bad, OK now I remember. Interesting that the vegan character was basically portrayed as a bit of a wierdo loner however he was quite a nice person (apart from when relating to his decision to produce meth), I quite liked him and felt for him in the end.

knowledge is power | I think you've got your MiddleEarth movies mixed up. It was The Hobbit where the dwarves were wrapped up and about to be eaten, then Bilbo comes and cuts them down. The elves came and attacked the spiders that started chasing their escaping meals. Tauriel meets Kili then and romance ensu.. oh sorry, getting carried away..

Munroe from Grimm is vegan. A human / wolf being who went vegan to control his instinctive desire for blood. Fun central character in a cheesy but entertaining fantasy series - better than the wooden lead Nick anyway. |

E.T., the extraterrestrial from Steven Spielberg's hugely successful 1982 movie, appears to be vegetarian. In the movie, he is shown eating several times, but the only things he eats are (1) fruits, (2) Reese's Pieces candy, and (3) beer. He tries a potato salad, but doesn't like it. There is also a novel about E.T., called "E.T.: The Book of the Green Planet": http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/225698.E_T_ . In the novel, E.T.'s people are described as great botanists, with unsurpassed knowledge of plants from many different worlds. The master botanist of E.T.'s race is almost Buddha-like; in the book, when the master walks through the forest mud, flowers sprout from his footsteps. . . |

the spiders had them wrapped up ready to eat. killing was to free frodo who was bitten I didn't remember the elves freeing them though, I thought it was Bilbo and his magic daggar- sting. Yep, that's where he named it! |

Rachael from Glee is a vegan. I think all Middle-earth elves are vegan, they only seem to be portrayed eating salad. In 'The Hobbit' the dinner scene in Rivendell portrays this and the dwarves are none too happy with it! |

Scarecrow | Emily from horror movie "The Possession" ("Exorcist" type). She is a vegetarian, at the beginning she shows two signs saying: "Stop the killing, eat vegetables" and "When you eat animals you become one!". One of the most horrible scenes is when dybuk forces her to eat meat.

SumitaSofat | Doctors are vegan. Despite this fact I would like reflect your mind in the topic of fictional vegan which is coming on. Vegan is the right word.. then why to use it with fictional......I like your fact that you have shared about it.

Triceratops | Beast Boy from the Teen Titans cartoon (and the more recent Teen Titans Go! cartoon) is consistently portrayed as a vegan, on the grounds that he's turned into all of those animals at one point or another. Even when he does something silly like sing about tacos with Cyborg, he usually mentions that he's eating tofu tacos.

Most that I know about have already been mentioned here, but I do have one that was missed: Melody from Josie and the Pussycats. Technically, almost every character in Star Trek is vegetarian, since their meat is replicated, not taken from actual animals. Riker actually mentions this in one episode of TNG. But apparently, the vulcans took it a step further and refused to eat even replicated meat, while Kirk did eat real meat when transported back in time to 1930's New York (the same episode that first mentioned Spock being veg). And of course, the klingons and ferengi actually ate live animals. --Fromper ![]() |

In the Vow, the main girl character was vegetarian. After she loses her memory there is one scene where she eats bacon and her husband tells her stop because she doesn't eat meat. It wasn't a great movie though. In "The Last Song" Miley Cyrus's character was vegetarian, also not too great of a movie. And in Legally Blonde, when Elle is introducing herself she says something like "Hi I'm Elle Woods and this is Bruiser Woods, we are both Gemini Vegetarians." :P On the show About A Boy Minnie Driver's Character is Vegan, however in one episode I saw she eats duck to impress a date. Yuck. |

Jasminedesi16 | There are many Bollywood films with main characters who are vegetarian. Actually I can think of so many example it would be very long list lol In the film Zero Dark Thirty, it is never mentioned but the main character seems to eat vegetarian food. One scene she is eating peanut-butter and jelly, another scene she is eating just plain french fries and one scene a piece of toast with nothing on it. I think this might be because the actress is a vegetarian but still it was funny how they showed you what she was eating lol.

Emily Deschanel actually makes the show put in little animal rights messages into the show every now and then, like the episode where they had to investigate a chicken farm that raised chickens in horrible conditions and had protesters lined up outside. During the murder investigation bones and booth come across several of the terrible practices like debeaking. The movie 7 Pounds has a vegan and also a vegetarian who has a vegetarian dog. Martha Grimes, who is best known for her Richard Jury series of mysteries, has written two books featuring Andi Olivier, a tough and tenacious teenage girl with a mysterious past who is an animal activist and vegetarian - Biting the Moon and Dakota. Margaret Atwood's dystopian trilogy (Oryx and Crake, The Year of the Flood, MaddAddam) have some vegetarian characters. |

I looked for years before finding a reliable vegan animal communicator. (Often called, pejoratively, an animal or pet psychic.) It was impossible for me to trust information about animals from someone who ate them. I finally found one many years ago and have the deepest respect for her. Now I'm an animal communicator and believe me, they know I don't eat them. There's a well-known animal communicator who actually says the animals are happy to be eaten by humans. Seriously. I can't even write more about that without my head exploding. She also claims to be one of the pioneers in animal communication, but she's far from that. Point is, for those interested, don't consult with an animal communicator who also eats them. There are more vegetarian and vegan communicators now, although they aren't abundant. |
