Hummus. mushroom pate olive tapenade a spinach/artichoke garlic dip made with a creamy cashew and tofu base nut cheeses Baba ganouse (sp) vegan mayo mixed with nutritional yeast is one of my favorite cheesey sauces. I think veggies sliced very thinly like on a mandoline, with that drizzled over the cuts sounds great! OR a cashew based nut yeast sauce |

I think it would be best to use veggies that don't give off too much water. If you chopped stuff up small, I think you wouldn't have to pre-cook. I searched and found this recipe (use fakin bacon or those soy bacon bits). http://www.cooks.com/recipe/b26zd9kt...ndt-bread.html I saw one where they used spinach and artichoke hearts which looked great too. ![]() |

Ideas for pull-apart-bread? Hi, not being on facebook, I have just come across pull-apart-breads. I mean the kind where you slice a whole loaf of bread crosswise not quite to the bottom and stuff the gaps with cheese (and ham). Like in this picture: http://cdn.lifesambrosia.com/wp-cont...d-1200x795.jpg I would like to collect some other ideas for vegetarian versions, apart from the cheese-and-herb-version. I thought about spiced zucchini, red pepper or eggplant, but am not sure if I would have to fry the vegetables before I stuff them into the bread or put them in raw. Also, these are all the ideas I'd have for veggie-stuffings. ![]() Perhaps you can supply me with some more? ![]() Best wishes from Fidi |
