That sucks. If you want the same sort of creamy strawberry pop, but without the tofu, you can exchange soy milk (or other alternative milk) or soy yogurt for the tofu.

Every store I go to has silken. But in PDX vegetarian, vegan and tofu are pretty darn common.

Regular tofu is not hard to find but I like the silken for desserts.I just thought you might know specifically who tends to carry the silken tofu.

I think I might try these.Although,I think I would prefer the silken tofu for things that are suppose to be sweet.It's a little hard for me to get so I am wondering if you know what large chain stores sell it?They look really yummy!

Strawberry Tofu Vegan Popsicles: suitable for vegans and everyone else.
 

 

When berries are at the peak of ripeness my son sometimes complains that they’re a little too sticky sweet and tart, so I made up this popsicle recipe, which includes tofu to mellow out the sweetness. You still taste the berries, but they're less extreme. You can also make tofu pops with other fruit if you don't like strawberries.
 

Gather...

 
  • 2/3 cups organic tofu. Silken or firm – your choice - both will work.
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries (or other fruit)
  • 1/2 cup water.
 

Make...

 
  • Wash your berries and slice the ends off.
  • Toss your berries, tofu and water into the blender.
  • Blend well.
  • Pour into molds and freeze.

 

NOTE: I used Orka Ice Pop Molds to make these popsicles.
