HI!! :) Welcome to the boards. Going vegan would be awesome! However keep in mind that vegaism is about not contributing to animal exploitating. It's a lifestyle, not just a diet. If it seems like too much right now, going veg is a good start and then you can branch more into looking into animal concerns from there, though there is benefit to the animals as well by being vegetarian ^_^ Undoubtedly there are health benefits too and keeping yourself healthy is important.! Little to no cholesterol and less risk of obesity.

Is that a Horde t-shirt I see?
Deep fried mushrooms.... I cannot resist! >.< But, there are also a lot of great alternatives to the food you might like, that are also really healthy for you too.

Hi, welcome to Veggieboards! ![]() Going vegetarian or vegan is a great way to improve your health and it also helps animals and the environment! Personally I recommend going all the way vegan to maximize those benefits. Here are a few helpful threads to look at to get you started: https://www.veggieboards.com/t/61253/30-day-vegan-challenge https://www.veggieboards.com/t/138476/guide-to-cruelty-free-eating-read-this-if-youre-going-vegan https://www.veggieboards.com/t/79707/what-did-you-eat-vegan-today https://www.veggieboards.com/t/138481/im-an-obese-vegan-who-wants-to-learn-to-eat-right-can-anyone-help The last one is specifically about health and weight loss so it might be the most useful to you. Hello there, I'll start with the basics :D My name is Jacob and I am 24. My main reason for this is because I'm honestly not happy with my health as it is (albeit I could exercise a bit more) but it seems that every time, as of late, that I've came across eating meat it just gives me the 'Blargh, I've had this for years..' and wanted to try something new.
My blood pressure also isn't the greatest either so I'm hoping maybe this will be a way to help with that |
