I liked the veat fillets even though they tasted nothing like salmon, or fish for that matter...kind of sweet tasting?...but good. I would love to find fake shrimp, I've heard they are very good. |

Lacykitten | At the veg restaurant here in Calgary, there's a dish called "rice with two kinds of sauce," and it comes with a tomato sauce with some fake meat in it (not sure what kind) and a white sauce with fake shrimps in it. No one I know liked the fake shrimps, I think my cat was sorta half and half on whether she liked them. Not only the taste but the texture was scary too. And they feel gross to pick up with your fingers. They looked pretty real though. o.o |

CharityAJO | On that note - I *have* had fake shrimp before that was scary real feeling. I think it was a pre-packaged thing. Maybe I'll inquire who makes it, monkeyandbunny. |

if you're ever in the new york area, try a restraunt in manhatten called "vegetarian paradise 2". they have fake shrimp that have the look and TEXTURE down SO REAL. it was uncanny. the taste was more oceany/fishy than i would have liked...but chewing it, it totally felt like shrimp. |

monkeyandbunny | It was OK, it didn't quite taste like Salmon. It tasted like a chick'n patty shaped like a piece of salmon. *waiting for tasty veg*n prawns* |

VeggieKitten | I'm with you. I'm curious, but it does look scary but not for the same reasons you have. I just can't imagine fake fish. |

CharityAJO | Has anyone tried it? I'm kind of curious - but it looks so scary and real! Any opinions? Is it very fishy? |
