This proves that pet stores don't have to sell live animals in order to stay in business. Here in the Los Angeles area we have a local chain called Centinela Feed and Pet Supplies which has NEVER sold any live animals in their stores. They do, however, feature adoption events every week with rescued animals for adoption - that's how I got my two older cats. This chain continues to expand and open new stores, which means it's doing very well.
