"Nutritarian" refers to Dr. Fuhrman's Eat To Live program. One can be a vegan and a nutritarian though. People are allowed small amounts of animal products but many people on the program don't consume animal products at all.

Cedre Anyone working on a MacGyver-themed cookbook? I've been dying to have a MacGyver themed party, and I just can't find any recipes online that are vegan!!!

Josh James xVx I ate a Yves "good dog" about 15 minutes ago and every single cell in my body erupted in multiple orgasms while screaming at the top of their lungs.

Score! I'll be able to have the Matlock-themed birthday party I've been asking for all these years!!
12-18-2010 12:17 PM
Sevenseas Yes, or you can help test some of the recipes, like the "Light Gray Attorney Birthday Cake" I've been working on, and get a credit in the end of the book, like in the Veganomicon.

Veganomicon is the Queen cookbook.

Kjesta This really makes me sad. I'd just thought about buying the Vegan Lunchbox books for Christmas, but I think I'll reconsider now. It's not as bad as Voracious Ex-Vegan, but how sad is it that people are praised as brave for doing the same as everyone else instead of making a morally right choice, even if it's more difficult?

I'm losing faith in humanity rapidly

No doubt. I was reading VLB Lady's comments aloud, to the man, and I had to pause and make retching noises. Maybe I share a link to the dictionary on her page.

Yes, very very few. I think she is letting one or two of the milder ones through, just to fool people into thinking she isn't censoring disagreement. There is a disproportionate number of comments telling her she is wonderful though. So I am pretty sure she is skewing the comments in her favor.

CopperAlchemy How easy is it for these people to dismiss their morals?! And how much "courage" could you need to be an omni, except to stomach blood? Dear Lord...

Tom I wish those formerly-vegan bloggers would just admit that some of us have to deal with these annoying cravings to eat things we know we really shouldn't, admit they gave in to a craving they shouldn't have, that they are human... and do the honorable thing by getting back on the vegan wagon.

That rhapsodizing about going back to full-on unapologetic omnivore, though... Yikes.

I think that only one person on this thread made a comment about vegetarians being "half-assed" so I wouldn't say that most of the vegans on here are disrespectful towards vegetarians. I think that you were making a sweeping generalisation.

I doubt they actually read it regularly. the word that a vegan went back on "the right path" goes around fast and people are coming to support courage.

And yeah the second writer doesn't bother me so much. even though she wasn't ethical she doesn't stuff her face with bacon every day.
