major.walrus The moon's been out in the early evening a lot lately too, so we've had an epic moon with the sunset and silhouetted winter tree branches.

Tom I saw it rising through a window at work as I was leaving, and gazed at it off-and-on all night. (Sorry it messed with your heads, though, Treehugger and Fadeaway. Oh- cute avatars, both of you!!!)

Treehugger267 So THAT's why I've been so miserable...bad moon, BAD!

fadeaway1289 Totally missed it. Big, bright, shiny moons freak me out.

yally Oh, I was just saying, I had to close the curtains last night because the moon was glaring so brightly in my face while I was trying to sleep. It was nice to lie and see from my bed for a while though.

Kenickie now that it's stopped snowing and sleeting, the moon is ****ing gorgeous

mlp I just went out to look at it, but the sky is very hazy, so it's actually quite a bit less impressive here than the usual full moon, even though there's snow on the ground, which generally magnifies the effect of a full moon. Bummer.

Kenickie the country birds have been talking about this moon for a long time now. It's called the Wolf Moon.

a native american tribe also calls it the moon when coyotes are afraid, and it's supposed to bring out the trickster in both Aries and Sagittarius', so watch out, because the practical jokes are supposed to be bountiful
