Kiz Mm... spent the Solstice swimming. Alas, the days down here are getting shorter. Swimming will go, stone fruit will go... but not for a while. I can swim comfortably until the end of autumn, and some stone fruits are still going until then. I do love to celebrate the Winter Solstice, though.

I'm with Randy on this one! The best part of the Winter Solstice is definitely that they days start getting longer!

I will always take being cold over been hot. If you're cold then you can just put more clothes on or shove the heating on, but when it's hot you don't have many options apart from going swimming and the only pool around here is an indoor heated one so doesn't make any sense (remember in the UK, air-conditioned houses are extremely rare)

You can eat ice.

Yeh, where I live in Aus it's a very similar climate to LA. That's one of the reasons I felt at home in LalaLand. I could NEVER live in NY for that reason. Brrrr!

GingerFoxx It's frigid and windy in NH today. I plan to attend a couple yoga classes after work (a hot one followed by a restorative one) then go home and light some candles to welcome back the sunshine... whenever we actually see it again...
