If I didn't have to work on Black Friday, I probably would have just stayed home. If I went out to shop at all, I would have waited until later in the day when the crowds die down. As it was I worked from 6:30am-11:30pm on Friday. A long day, but it went by quickly. I was glad to have the weekend off! |

Can we please try to keep the thread on topic? It's about the deals people got, not personal issues and the craziness that leads to death. Thanks ![]() |

I slept in for $0.00. Not having to drive in crazy traffic or wait in lines was just bonus. Definitely worth it. |

danakscully64 | I decided to keep the TV. The reason I was thinking about not doing so was because I was going to put it downstairs in the family room until I move out. My parents tv, which is 32" inches, is dying after 20 years (huge 4 inch line across the top). My niece and myself are really the only ones who watch tv downstairs. |

karenlovessnow | I think the thing with Black Friday (for me, anyway) is to not go when the stores open...if you go an hour or two after that, it's not so bad. |

I bought a samsung LED TV a while back, the energy efficiency was real important to me. but in hindsight I paid way too much for it. I should have gone with one of those Vizio TVs from Costco, really good quality for the price. you seem to be a videophile so I just thought I'd mention. 1080p is a little overrated unless you have one of those screens that just dominates the room in an obnoxious way. http://s3.carltonbale.com/resolution_chart.html ![]() |

I went to gamestop at 8:30 and got the bf a game for regular price. I went to Kohl's and got my brother a luggage set marked down from 220 to 59, a few candles for a couple bucks, and a bunch of socks (6 pairs for 3.60 or something). It took 30 minutes in Kohl's, the line moved quick and there was parking. I'm not all about the big early rush though |

I worked in retail for many years and became quite sick of the whole Christmas shopping frenzy. Last year I had to work at 5 AM and watched the crazy people line up and pack the store. This year I am unemployed and will avoid the crowds! ![]() |

GhostUser | My sister works in retail, and she just texted me about her store. People are going INSANE. People have been camped out since 3am YESTURDAY morning, waiting for the store to open this morning. There are TONS of cops there and tons of people getting arrested because everyone is breaking out into fights everywhere. I wish she didn't have to work today, people are so stupid. |

karenlovessnow | I skipped the stores today. I've gone a few times, like last year and a few years before. But I really hate it. So I didn't bother this year. |
