|counting_hours||Welcome, I am sure you will discover that over time, when you are not disassociating yourself with the food on your plate, that you compassion for living things will grow even more. Though I originally went veg mostly from an environmental standpoint, I have always loved animals, and now even walking through the park I am absoluetly amazed at all the small creatures I see, and it take me twice as long to go wherever I am headed because I always stop to watch them and how interesting they are as little lving beings|

Avian Lass, welcome to VB,
I'm sure this website will be a useful resource for if and when you decide to become vegan. Check out the recipe sections here - they're really helpful.

Hey everyone! New here, I come from a STRONG background of meateaters.
Long story short, I have lost my taste for many animal products. Tired of being leary everytime i crack an egg, or get a ganky bite of 'gristle' in my food. Not to mention meat and dairy are now the most expensive items at the store. Still love salmon and tuna, but would like very much to strive towards vegan. I have a love affair going with the birds in my yard, alot of my free time is spent feeding, watering, and generally fussing over them(from a distance, of course), and I find my compassion for all living creatures is growing stronger as I age.
Not a new story, I'm sure, but it happens to be mine. I look forward to meeting some of you, and learning as much as I can about the way of life I would like to adopt.
Thank you All!
