Loved it. I had it for about two years before I took it out. I just took it out in February and could probably put a ring back in if I wanted. It actually didn't hurt getting it done, it was kind of an erotic feeling. ![]() I too am in line to get another tattoo. I am going to add onto my back when I decide what to do. I took some rocking pictures of some orchids at the botanical garden this weekend and might get a couple of those...we'll see. Good luck making your decision. |

Prove it ![]() I've had my tongue pierced for years . . also had my eyebrow done but had to take it out for work - it kept leaking puss anyway which was a bit bleh. Got one tattoo of Che Guevara on my arm which nobody had at the time I got it done but now it seems like every ned chav and bam has one . . oh well. Tattoos and piercings on women get me really 'excited', not sure why . . . |

They pop up about every other month it seems. The search I did found several but a lot of the posters in those threads aren't here any longer so I decided it was probably easier/best to just let this one run and not close it. Not that I really need to go into a lengthy explanation. Anyway yes....tattoos and piercings. |

My bad! I completely misunderstood your last post where you asked what was the expression and I was thinking "I'll show you mine...." Ok, now that my brain is working in real time, it's Japanese for 'hacker' but it was pretty much only used by white hats, so another hacker would recognize it. The glider is the more popular hacker symbol, if there is such a thing, but it's used more by all hackers, including crackers & whackers. Most of us old-schoolers recognize both, but I like the more subtle Japanese symbolage. ![]() |

..they [and most surface piercings] generally get rejected (("grow out", etc.)) from the body. I mean, it differs from individual to individual..different body chemistries, etc. etc... ..but I was insinuating the fact that I've had 4 eyebrow piercings grow outta my face in the last 4 years...no matter what I do or don't do to care for them, they eventually push themselves outta my face. Unfortunate, as they look hott as hell, ![]() ![]() |

LadyFaile | i've heard that piercings in areas like that are never permanent, i dunno if the hole closes up or the jewellery gets rejected or what but i've just heard they don't last on the back or arms or legs or anything like that |

I wouldn't put it past myself to do something like that ^^ ...they'd just grow out or be taken out anyways. Gawd knows I've had enough pieces of metal grow outta my face. That's pretty gross, if not unfortunate. ![]() |

scar tissue, i guess, from some of the ones i've seen. it's all real skin from the mastectomy. i already have my next tattoo figured out. and just about have the one after that figured out. |

^^ So, the ink was done on 'artificial' skin...or was it just scar tissue skin...or what?? I would imagine a conventional tat wouldn't take well to anything but real skin...but that just shows you how little I know... Either way, its interesting, it not, mad ballsey. ![]() |

i'd like to have the chakra symbols maybe on my forearm but it'd cost a fortune to do it with full detail the way i'd want it. i think i posted about this one already but for now i really just want a hibiscus flower on my leg. hubby and i were hoping to both get a tattoo in Hawaii after we got married, as a permanent souvenir of the trip and the wedding. we decided against it because we really wanted to be able to go swimming again before the trip was over and if we did it the day we were heading home it'd be a pretty uncomfortable flight lol. it's been over a year and we still haven't gotten them. can't afford it now so it's on the backburner. not sure what he wants but i just want a nice big hibiscus or i might go with a plumeria instead since hibiscus' seem to have become pretty common lately. if we ever have kids i'll get a smaller one representing each and connect them all together with a vine wrapping around my leg. i dunno if it'll ever happen though it's going to cost a lot and we can't justify blowing money on stuff like that. my brother just got his first tattoo a couple weeks ago. it's a stylized maple leaf and the coloured part is made to look like flames, it's pretty neat. it cost a bundle |

jenna | my first tat was just because i liked it. the rest are going to have meaning to them, probably. |
05-20-2008 08:29 PM | |
nookle | I have one that means nothing - I just wanted it, and one that has meaning. I like them both, for different reasons. Tattoos can definitely hold a lot of meaning - represent something, but I think they are also great as what they are - body art. |

I have my ears pierced (2 on my right ear, 3 on the left) and my nostril pierced. I'm planning several tattoos, but not just something "pretty" I like. I'd never get a tattoo unless it really meant something to me. |
