I have found that if we really sit back and trace some of the brands we use somewhere down the line it will have some kind of connection to a company that does bad stuff... Not all the products are... there are some really really good small companies that have no affiliation to these big corp. but sometimes they can be hard to find and cost too much. |

I suppose if they don't have a permanent ban, they're still a "bad" company. |

I was using Kiss My Face deodorant for a while but my mom bought me some Jason stuff and I can take a hint. For house hold cleaners I mostly use baking soda and vinegar, you can clean pretty much anything with those two. I usually go for an Endangered Species bar when I go for candy, but sometimes I get a trail mix instead. I also occasionally try to make my own, with mixed results. |

Hi, that is great news! Congratulations! For cleaning products I think Seventh Generation is good! Razors, now this is hell (for both men and women). I have tried all the "ethically ok" razors out there (mostly made by American Safety Razor) which you can get at CVS and places like that (the CVS brand). They all suck and for women it is even worse since they shave more larger areas. If someone has a suggestion on good (affordable) razors I am interested too. EDIT: Bic corporation tests on animals. |

I currently use Kiss My Face toothpaste. For mouth wash I use Hertiage Products hydrogen peroxide mouthwash. I use Bee Fresh gum, (It's fortified with vitamin B) I don't eat a lot of candy but this site; http://www.veganstore.com/vegan-food...er-sweets.html has a few good examples. I'm currently using Alvera brand (vanilla and almonds) deoderant, It's a little sweet and girly so i'm not sure if you'd like that. I'm not sure about cleaning products and stuff, I'm only a teenager so I don't get to decide what we buy in that department, I don't want to recomend something that won't work. I heard about a brand of "eco-razors" that use recycled handles, They sounded pretty cool. I don't remember what the name was, Though. |

My wife and I have been vegetarians for 8 and 3 years respectively and decided to go vegan yesterday. We're going to phase out the products we've already purchased so they're not going to waste, but what are some of your favorite daily items that you use (i.e. we found the gum in her purse has gelatin in it)? Gum: Candy Bars: Candy: Toothpaste: Mouthwash: Cleaning Products: etc. My wife already sells Arbonne products which are all 100% vegan so we've got the lotions and shower stuff under control [plug!]. I know I could do some searching and find lists of vegan products, but this is more fun. I'd like to know what everyone's favs are. We use 7th Generation products, and have been using Tom's of Maine but now know their parent co tests on animals. |
