CountessKerouac | Usually hot cereal of some kind. Oat bran is my favorite. Also, the multi-grain w/ soy and flax is good. I usually slice up some fruit and add some cinnamon. And always tea or coffee. Actually, I usually have both. Cereals like Kashi and Peace are great, too, with some plain soymilk. |

I'm trying really hard to get back into eating breakfast. I have a bad habit of getting busy and just waiting it out until lunch. This morning I made myself a smoothie with frozen fruit and protein powder, and a toasted bagel. I'm not a big fan of traditional breakfast foods though, so sometimes I will make myself a tofurky sandwich, or have leftovers from dinner the night before. As long as I'm eating breakfast. ![]() |

What the heck is breakfast? Oh, yeah. That's the thing I used to eat in the mornings before I needed to break free from my cocoon. (Which seems to be unsuccessful.) Anyway, if/when I do eat.... It's usually either plain oatmeal with brown sugar and cinnamon, if I have ita and fruit, if available, or, scrambled eggs with some cheese, either by themselves or in a sandwhich with ketchup. Lately, I've been putting spices in the eggs while they are cooking, either taco seasoning or some Greek spices I picked up on clearance at Kroger (it's a Kroger brand) for only $.50. Not too bad. Always, always coffee. Blah. Now that I'm taking an 8:30 class, I've been skipping breakfast. Well, I still have the coffee, just in a travel mug during class. (My professor has a small flask like thing for his coffee; It seems to hold more. I want one.) I'm actually at the library now instead of at home so that I don't eat.... Sad, I know. Actually if I were at home, the housework would be in my face, mocking me, taunting me, daring me to do something with it.... Okay. I'm digressing. Laura |

I usually either have a cliff bar or a smoothie, depending on if I have time to make the smoothie. Sometimes I make the smoothie the night before and it usually keeps pretty well over night. |

April | If I eat right before bed, I'm not hungry when I wake up, and sometimes I'm a little naseous. But regardless of that, if I don't eat within approx. an hour of waking up, I'm a byich. |

Every morning now that it's getting colder, I have porridge, made on 3/4 cup of oats and water, with a little bit of soymilk and syrup if I'm in the mood for it. In summer I'll either have a cereal like Special K or Sultana Bran with either low fat yoghurt or soymilk; or I'll have a few pieces of toast with honey and light peanut butter. Occasionally I'll have pancakes, or I'll bake some fresh bread. I love breakfast ![]() |

April | Mayuko- Do you eat shortly before going to sleep? I've found many people who feel naseous at breakfast time eat shortly before going to bed. I know I feel the same way when I do the same thing. |

mayuko | coffee. lots and lots of coffee. i tend to be unable to eat right after i wake up without feeling really ill, so the concept of "breakfast" is lost on me. |

For those of you that don't have any time in the morning for breakfast, how about making a nut butter sandwich the night before and having that for breakfast? I've done that a bit in the past, but more often than not I've whipped the sandwich together before running out the door. Lately I've been eating oatmeal, but it's too darn hot for that stuff now (no AC). I bought some granola today. I'm also glad to see this resurrected. ![]() |

My favorite breakfast right now is two bowls of an assortment of cereals (Nature's Path: Heritage Flakes, Heritage O's, Multigrain Oatbran Flakes, and Flaxplus Flakes; and Arrowhead Mill's Puffed Kamut) with some Pacific Almond Milk (I don't like almond breeze as much since it has more sugar which masks the almondy flavor and less protein). Ah breakfast.... ![]() |

>>How do you people get up so freakin' early that you have time to eat breakfast!?!?!?! >> Without breakfast, I'm treated to hunger severe enough to cause stomach cramps, pain, and a headache. ... I eat various things...rarely "breakfast" food. The most common is probably an organic, no-dairy frozen burrito. ebola |

I love cereal. I rarely go without it. I always change varieties though (life, muesli, granolas of all types, nature's path stuff, plain bran flakes, etc... ) Sometimes I have hot cereal too (oatmeal, home prepared or instant if I'm feeling lazy). I also eat toast quite often, with nut butters. Occasionally a whole wheat waffle with nut butter, syrup. I always complete whatever I have with some fruit and, despite the fact that I love coffee, I never have it in the morning. Oh, and I never have juice. Only water. |

I LOVE my breakfast - really starts my day, lol. I usually eat cereal for brekkie - either a bowl of Kashi, Cheerios or Puffins. And for colder mornings, its all about the instant oatmeal packets (usually Optimum organic packets or Kashi oatmeal packets). I just empty out a packet in a bowl, add water, throw it in the microwave and voila - helathy, yummy breakfast!!! For an extra treat, I usually add frozen blueberries and/or cinnamon to the mix as well. ![]() Oh yeah and FYI - I eat breakfast at 7 AM usually ![]() |

I had a WHOLE cinnamon/raisin bagel from Wild Oats w/1 Tbsp. HFS self-grind peanut butter and 1 Tbsp. strawberry jam and coffee... I normally try to avoid eating entire bagels (LOTS of carbs...) but I ran this morning so I rewarded myself for getting my butt up ![]() ![]() |

JulieAnne | vgge-I have a big problem w/ eating breakfast, too! It seems I am always too rushed to make time for a good meal. I usually grab an organic toaster pastry and take a swig of juice or I bring a granola bar or a soy yogurt w/ me. |
