Davey Havok. First vegan-celebrity encounter [ok if we want to be technical, it was Hunter Burgan]. These guys are responsible for opening my eyes -after 8 years of vegetarianism- to veganism and it's benefits![]() ![]() ![]() |

Mine would be Emily Deschanel too, absolutely. She is briljant actress and use her fame to do good things. Not just to animals, to humans too. We have so many airheaded celebreties in these days that it really is nice to see that there are some of them who really can use their position to do good. |

Anyone heard of Emily Deschanel? Evidently, she's an actress on a show called Bones. I first heard of her reading CNN where they posted her vegan cookie recipe: 1½ cups rolled oats 1¼ cups spelt flour 1¼ cups oat flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup maple syrup 1 cup canola oil 1 tsp vanilla 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 1½ cups chopped walnuts Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In medium bowl combine rolled oats, spelt flour, oat flour, salt and baking soda. In large bowl whisk together maple syrup, canola oil and vanilla. Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts. Mound dough by level tablespoonfuls onto baking sheets. Bake 11-13 minutes or until evenly browned. Cool on baking sheets for 3 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool completely. |

GhostUser | I feel that Pamela Anderson speaks more for the animals than any other single celebrity. She has unselfishly put the animals even before her career. The more I hear about her, the more I am impressed with her. I have even heard some higher ups at PETA state that she is the best spokesperson they have ever had. |

Cornflower | Joaquin Phoenix (I just love him generally, he's such a great actor and seems so humble and kind in every interview I've seen) and Alicia Silverstone (because whenever she talks about veganism, she is so positive and radiant!). Also Jorja Fox from CSI. I like Natalie Portman and Toby Maguire, but I thought the were vegetarian, not vegan. Oh, and I can't forget to mention Moby! |
