|karenlovessnow||I'm guessing this is after the fact now, but for future reference, I like to melt some Earth Balance over a medium flame and stir in some breadcrumbs. Then I sprinkle it on whatever it is I'm going to bake. Delish!|

|LeguMan||Are your vegetables raw when you put them in the oven? If so, it's maybe better to bake them first then to put the yeast/crumbs during the last 10-15 minutes, with the grill on.|

|LeguMan||Yeast will give a cheesy flavour, I love to use it on gratins... Bread crumbs give a crusty touch, which is great too! You might want to mix both, I think it would work well...|

|tala796||alright, i just need to know what is a vegan way to make a topping for a ratatouille dish that i need to have before this afternoon. i was thinking maybe home made breadcrumbs, or nutritional yeast, or wheat germ. i really don't know. there are vegetables and pasta and i want to bake it and give it a topping (that is where the nutritional yeast or breadcrumbs come in). thanks in advance.|
