I was thinking Dick Cheney's nude photos might be more appealing for her to post. I never had problems with customers, well not really. I had problems with mgt. I worked for this Italian place that was coupon city. Ya know, the kind of place where the customers would tip on the sum after the coupons were taken into account...trey trash and I don't think i ever came across a veg. They wanted us to memorize the menu every week, down to how much of what ever herbs were used in each meal. They would have a sit down quiz/test. I remembered most stuff but would forget how many pinches of this or that and would catch a lot of flack for it from the manager. Calling the place coupon city and mouthing off didn't go over very well lol. I lasted a couple of weeks. Although! while i was there a number of people were fired. |

Aww. That's sweet ... I think ![]() Sevenseas, except for the photoshopped images of GWB those are wonderful ideas. Maybe one of my personalities can get her hands on a cooked babies recipe. Cilantro would bring out the flavor quite nicely. |

I'd huddle myself in the fetal position and sit in the corner of the room rocking back and forth sobbing hysterically. Hmm not really, but I'd still lurk until the ban was lifted. Not like I post that much anyway. |

I can't imagine what I would have to do to get myself banned. I don't consider myself to be 100% nice, but general respect for others seems easy enough. Considering this is a web site, its also fairly easy to 'walk away' and take a breather if a debate gets heated. There are more important things in life than having the last word with someone online. If not, maybe a banning is what a person needs so they can refocus on something else. I guess I need to learn to be more difficult. ![]() ... With that said, if I did ever get banned I'd be mad and hurt and want nothing to do with the place. If someone ever has a problem with me, a private friendly chat is usually all thats needed to clear things up. |

gaya | In Boston it's pretty is easy to find jobs that don't require a specific skill or education. Granted, getting a fine dining gig won't happen without significant experience but normal server jobs are pretty easy to get. I got fired because a. i suck as a server and b. i have a big mouth and don't like being told what to do lol eta: and c. i'm always late for everything. Fortunately my current boss is always late as well. We're a perfect match in that regard. |

Eclipse | Fired?...laid off?...Happened all the time around here. Usually before I got to the first day of work. Yeah that's how tough the economy is,you need to have loads of energy to keep getitng up and getting new jobs on a regular basis in our era. I've lost count by now, all I know is it's in the hundreds. It's like they economy wants a person to use all their energy fighting for a job until they burn out and have nothing left to give. |

Oddly enough, one of my first posts on a now-vanished board run by a former VBer was edited for profanity as well. I was describing what I didn't like about Pulp Fiction and didn't realize I wasn't allowed to quote it. ![]() But back to the if-banned discussion. |

I really like it here so if I were banned it would suck! But I'd deal with it and do something else. I'm stuck in front of a computer a lot so at least I have VB but if I didn't maybe I'd get more work done ![]() |

![]() I've thought about this a bit lately because I think it could easily happen one day. I tend to forget that this board has different rules than the other boards I'm on and I when I come to VB, sometimes I forget where I am and end up saying things that are acceptable on the other boards but not appropriate here. So I think my ban would probably be to do with that. But it's no big deal, I'd just spend the time I previously spent here somewhere else. I'd probably still lurk and read the recipes section. |
