That's tough and honestly I have no idea. It's my favorite quote and I use it all the time. I usually reference it to a quotation book I got from the library. After clicking the link posted by bluesand and some research of my own I realize it is going to be very difficult to source properly. Again, it is my favorite quote, but I have used this one too because I can source it correctly... I thought it was too bold but my professor loved it: Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1803-1882 "You have just dined, and however scrupulously the slaughterhouse is concealed in the graceful distance of miles, there is complicity." Albert Einstein I'd like to reference it in an essay of mine at university and was wondering if anyone knows whether it was from a text of his, or whether they knew about it being in any other book? They take referencing really serisouly so I don't want to mess it up, and it also looks better than writing 'unknown text' or something vague like that. Thanks! |
