Finally! I've been pawing through this thread, trying to find someone close to my size. ![]() I'm 25 years old, 5'2", 177 pounds, and a size 14. I used to weigh 194 pounds and then lost weight after eating more healthy (switching to vegetarianism, among other things!). Now after a year, I'm ready to lose more weight, which is one of my goals. Other measurements- Bra size: 40C (Used to be 42B+; amazing what losing fifteen pounds and taking birth control pills did to my bra size) Shoe size: 8-8.5, depending on the shoe |

4'11", 110 lbs. BMI 22.2 Yup, I've gained weight in a natural manner and am trying to come to terms with it...I am still a healthy weight and look decent, but it's still kind of "AAHHHHH, wait, you mean I'm not underweight anymore???". Yeah. On the bright side, I have my period again. ![]() |

I had a co-worker 10 years ago, who was built very differently from me. Yet we both had very little body fat. We both wore the same kind of clothes that showed off our firm figures. She was shorter, big boned, but firm and curvy in the right ways. I am small boned, firm, and I was only curvy down here --->![]() ![]() |

I'm 5'5, 107 pounds (varies, I haven't been weighed in about 2 months, but my clothes all still fit the same), and 14 years old. I normally wear 0-1 in pants, and medium-large (I have very broad shoulders) in tops. The pants vary on the brand and cut, because a 0 fits in Angels shorts, but they're capris I wear a 3. Though usually it's a 0 |

Interesting. I wear a 00 petite at my latest favorite clothing store, which is the 'Ann Taylor Loft'. It is their smallest size, and is 2 sizes below a size 2! Fits me perfectly. I'm 4'11" and about 91 pounds. I agree that the american sizes are crazy. I wear anything from a 00 petite up to a 2 petite depending on the store (I just get the smallest size they carry, and that is what will fit me best). In general, I think that the same size numbers have gotten bigger over the years. When I was in high school, a size 5 used to be the smallest size in the juniors department, and that was what I wore, but today's size 5 would be enormous on me. Then again, I actually do weigh less than I did in high school, as I recall weighing between 98 and 105 pounds, and now at the ripe old age of 49, I only weigh 91. I am living proof that getting older doesn't mean you have to resign yourself to getting fatter. |

5'8" 150 lbs I was up to around 158 a couple of months ago, and my waist size expanded to 32 inches, after I was just getting used to the idea of having to upgrade my pants from 30 to 31. I was downright scrawny until around 30 years old, and I've been gaining steadily ever since. So I decided my ideal weight for my height and build is probably around 145, and I'm pretty proud that I managed to actually lose weight for the first time in my life. Usually, when I try eating healthier, it only lasts a couple of months, and it results in not gaining any weight, but I never lose any. That's always been ok in the past, since I've never been overweight. But according to my BMI, I was bordering on overweight at 158. But because of my build, people thought I was joking when I said I was trying to lose weight. I just look thin, even though I know that the stomach is expanding with age. --Fromper ![]() |

If I had an eating disorder I *might* understand where they were coming from. But come on! I get thinly veiled comments like "Here, you can have a big piece of cake" etc. - not necessarily malicious, but it gets old quickly, especially coming from people who see me eat lunch every day. I don't have a problem with eating said big piece of cake (unless there's milk in it), since I'm not a calorie-phobe. I just stop eating when I'm not hungry any more. |

Misty | off topic, the sizing in america really confuses me, the smallest size here is eight or six if you can find it. Size 2-4 sounds crazy to me. |

Snow White | 5'8.5", about 124 lbs, european size 36/38, which is roughly a 30" waist jeans or a UK size 8/10. People often look a bit incredulous when I tell them my clothes size - I must look daintier than I am and people do often underestimate my height. |
