Hi Jane, Nice to meet you! Wow thats a lot of books! I'm not quite up to that many yet but hopefully by the end of this year (I've been purchasing a lot of books lately) hehe you wouldn't bore me, I love talking about food and cooking I'm so jealous, I so badly want to go to India!!! Hi, I'm from Surrey. I've been veggie since 1980. I tend to eat vegan when I go out as many caterers here use non veggie cheese and eggs from caged birds. The nearest decent place for me is Brighton - just over an hour's drive - maybe longer in the summer - it's nickname is London-on-Sea and it's crammed with veggie places. London is the other option - an hour on the train - and then there are all sorts of veggie places dotted about the rest of the country, but very few near me. I'm a very good (if immodest,) cook but I just decided the only way to get nice food was to cook it myself. I also earn my living from cooking veggie food. I have over 150 cookery books and could bore the pants off you about food....so I'll change the subject. I love travelling and have lived abroad. Last year I visited Amsterdam, Paris and Italy and Majorca. I'd like to go to India and New Zealand. I always check out the veggie places before I go - so hope some of you will be able to help me. Looking forward to "meeting" some of you. Jane |
