e108 | I'm not restricted, I would just prefer it that way. Besides, it is a great place if you want to raise your children around other kids that are vegetarians. If I can't find any vegetarian that wants to buy the house I'll sell it to anyone. So far I have only advertised it to vegetarians. |

You could always say, "I prefer to sell to a vegetarian." But then you might just have a bunch of people that say they are... so maybe you shouldn't put that in the ad. When people come to look at your home, casually mention that you're a vegetarian, and if they are they'll say so. ![]() |

Kiz | Why on earth would you be resticted from selling to anyone? Surely you can sell to whoever you want? |

AFAIK sexual orientation is the only status that is protected in some states and not in others. Also AFAIK dietary status is not protected anywhere. Religion is but I am not aware of a religion that requires eating meat. |

Really? Is dietary status a protected class in some states? You can refuse to sell a house to a gay in my home state, so I don't see why you can't refuse to sell your house to a meat eater. |

It may not be legal to restrict buyers to veg*ns. Don't know what laws apply. |

Well if you only want to sell to vegetarians, then you should put that in the advertisement (mention about the neighbors and neighborhood being vegetarian). I don't understand why though, especially consider the number of vegetarians who go back to eating meat (just read Peta's celebrity watch column). Or wait, is that why you have to move out of the neighborhood? You didn't start eating fish and they kicked you out, did they?! Neat temple there though eh. |

I am sad to say I must sell my house. It is near Picayune MS, in the country. The problem is that I want to sell only to a vegetarian. It is bordering the Hare Krishna Temple property, and all my neighbors are vegetarians. There are about 20 families in this area, all vegetarians. There is a big home school network in this area too. go to this link http://www.waterballetcoppersprinkle...new_page_5.htm to see some photos. |
