Steamers are easy, but slow.
Just put stuff in a bowl, put it in, turn it on. That's the bottom line of every recipe.
Whether that's pasta, oats, rice, anything.
Put in bowl. Turn on.
Starchy stuff will tend to stick together though, as it does.
But if you steam dry pasta, it will glue itself together... so you'll really just have a big lump of noodle...
But, mix in some veggies and you can space them out enough that you should be able to break them apart. I've never done this, but in theory it should work.
Anything that's dry will absorb water from the steam and become hydrated. Things that are already wet just get cooked. |
