Thanks for the tip!!! what kind of nuts would you recommend? I have variety.. almond might be good? I also thought about adding cinnamon but that might be a little weird tasting. I better go to the grocery store soon to get me some ripe bananas.. the one i have isnt. |

Maybe try looking for a raw banana pie recipie for some inspiration? I've seen a lot of those that use sliced bananas and nuts. Maybe modify it to do what you want? bananas, nuts, and chocolate are a good combination! I've only made a banana pie with tofu. I don't think using faux cream cheese would be bad, might even taste good. Make sure the bananas you use are really ripe and sweet or the pie will be a little bitter. now i want to make a pie! |

I really want to make banana pie. I got some of the recipe listed on the VB recipe thread, but I want to know if i can make it without tofu. I was wondering if "better than cream cheese" can be used in the pie? Or would that be made as an ingredient for frosting? I was just gonna make banana chocolate chip pie. Instead of melting the chips, just throw in couple of chips and top it off with chocolate chips wording "I love you" or something for V-DAY tomorrow. |
