This book doesn't actually have much that I would consider 'junk' food. Snacks and comfort food is a more accurate description.
The recipes are mostly novice friendly. None of them are particularly innovative, and a handful merely sub vegan analogs in and animal products out - I can figure out how to veganize pizza using Daiya myself.
Let me explain my negativity about veganism comment. Like many vegan cookbooks, this one talks up itself in the front pages by being unnecessarilly dismissive about vegan cuisine and asserting that THIS book fixes the imaginary deficincies.
