We have The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf which is way better than Starbucks.

We call it soda, not pop.

Oh, and no one from California calls it Cali... that's how we know you're not from around here.

That list reminds me why I miss California.

It was sad to see the stuff all getting ruined and rained on. I hope they were able to salvage some of it.

I love Chula Vista. Used to live there. Do ya like La Bella's?

La Bella's was the only pizza place in town when I was a kid. I don't go there so much anymore but they have expanded and now have an arcade and proper beer garden.

Did you know we have a raw, vegan restaurant on 3rd?

You mean Cilantro Live? It's closed.

Before they opened, I was interviewing to be the chef and my partner was going to run the kitchen with me. There's a story there!

Whaaat??? I'm trying to remember the last time I ate there and it didn't seem that long ago.

Well I'm not really surprised I guess. Restaurants are a service oriented industry and they didn't really have the hang of that.

Somebody needs to open a veg restaurant in Eastlake/Rolling Hills Ranch.

Love those lists because they're mostly true! They have one for the Inland Empire that's 95% true and very very funny. One said "Every girl owns a silver jetta with a roxy sticker on it," which exactly what my sister had (I have the car now, only Beatles and veggie stickers).

And the part about In-n-out... so true

I think you were the one who recommended it to me.... I wonder why it closed. I ate there once and didn't care for it enough to go back. My intestines were shocked by the raw food

There's a vegan restaurant in San Diego (Pacific Beach) that's really good (Ahimsa recommended it to me).

All of the weirdos come from Redlands.... Actually, my sister lives there! I go out there once and a while (its about 20 minutes away in no traffic, 5 from my bfs house). I used to work at the In-n-out off 2nd street in San Bernardino. Ever go to Sayaka Japanese restaurant? The Vegetarian California roll is amazing. You're lucky, you live right next to a Seventh Day Advenist area.

Yeah, and I work in San Bernardino, so I get the worst of both worlds.

I have eaten there. We have so many Japanese restaurants in town now.

If you like Vietnamese, try A Dong at Mountain View and Redlands Blvd. in Loma Linda.

I lived in Riverside for years, by the way, while I was in grad school.

I'll have to check it out I'll ask my sister if she's been there before. I've actually never had Vietnamese food before. I had Indian food for the first time last year (one time only though). It was good.

Riverside used to be an amazing place, but it's really gone downhill quick... especially since they added the tract homes over the past 6 years. I bet you've noticed a difference. What part of Riverside did you live in?

In the apartment complexes around University and Linden, across from "married student housing."

Funny - when I moved to here from the east coast (where they don't have In-n-out), I had the same thoughts. I even jokingly called it "In-out-In-out" but eventually stopped because most people didn't get it.

I know where that's at My bf graduated from UCR last year and I've lived in Riverside my whole life. I like Redlands a lot, I just wish it wasn't so expensive to live there. So Cal is expensive. If I had to move out of my parents house, I'd have to get a second job at Club 215
