*food for thought....and PANIC* ..... I wonder who knows of you in this thread there won't be a Florida for one place, if the Greenland polar ice cap melts, and the evidence AS OF TODAY (on the news today), is even stronger/greater than previously thought that this thing is more major than already realized as well bad enough already, sooo, wow!.... Some slight good news is that technology to combat this (with green energy alternatives etc) is going to be somewhat cheaper than thought if investment is put in NOW!

Nothing I can do about it, and I live here, not for free, but with family, so I'm stuck where I am...guess I'll drown with the best of them ;-)

I've just been to vegan heaven. I visited Nature's Harvest Market in Tampa yesterday, and I didn't know what to do with myself. That place is awesome! I had no idea that it was like an actual grocery store with tons of vegan stuff. Even the bakery stuff was catered to vegans. That was the coolest experience. I will definitely be going back there. Do any of you Tampa people go there?

Next month I'm moving to Orlando. I've been down there for a few weekends in the past few months, so I sort of know my way around and I found the Whole Foods in Winter Park. But I can't seem to find any co-ops or CSAs. From searching online, it looks like there aren't any. Is this true? Also, which farmers markets are the best?

I'm going to Sublime's Pre-Opening Party on Thursday!!! Yeah! I'm so excited. They invited Brian and Anna Maria Clement, the directors of Hippocrates Health Institute where I work, but they are out of town, so my mom (Brian's assistent) and I are going in their place!!!! I guess Sublime has expanded their menu and if you want you can get raw enteres upon request! I'll let you know all about it after I go!

We went to Tampa a few weeks ago and we were really impressed by evos. Have you been there? My boys were so excited to see veggie burgers and veggie dogs on the kids menu. Unfortunately we didn't make it to any of the other restaurants listed by the Happy Cow. We did eat at a Mexican place on Main Street in Dunedin which has lots of vegetarian options. Their fresh salsa was to die for!

I'm moving to Tampa in a few months :-D

Originally from Cape Coral (near Ft. Myers for those of you who've never heard of it)...joined the Navy, and now my contract is up so I finally get to come back to Florida..

I'm moving to Tampa so I can attend USF.. I've only been to Tampa a few times, so I don't know too much about the city. Could any of you folks who live there tell me a little more about it?
