Then I'm sure you've been to the Garden Cafe before, right?

I live in Winter Park about 5 minutes from the Whole Foods.

The best place I've eaten though, in the Orlando area, is at "Boma" at the Animal Kingdom Lodge out at Disney. There is a chef there named TJ, who specializes in vegetarian food. The restaurant is expensive (I think around $25/person), but if you make a reservation ahead of time and tell them you are vegan, he'll make all kinds of stuff for you; it's definitely worht the price.

Awesome! My company has a contract with Disney (I work in the building that used to be Walt Disney's office!) and I get a discount at all restaurants, etc. Thank you sooo much for the suggestion... my birthday is in a few weeks and I was looking for a new restaurant to go to! I'll give them a call.

Nope, the Amateur Athletic Union... we hold the Junior Olympic Games and run other amateur sports programs. We have a contract with Disney Wide World of Sports.

Yep, and I get in for $10. I've never been though, although I have gone to Blizzard Beach once, back in March for my Husband's birthday. It was a lot of fun.

Cool! I'm sure I'll make my way over there sometime this summer... I'll be sure to check out the wave pool. My favorite thing at Blizzard Beach was the lazy river type thing... just floating... ah.

I gotcha. Yeah, it took some getting used to for me. But, it also tends to make omnis more open to eating there, which is good.

Gotcha. Yeah, that takes a little getting used to. But, on the upside, it also makes omnis feel more comfortable dining there.

If it helps omnis feel more comfortable, I guess I'm okay with it.

But it's still weird to say that their 'pork chops' are my favorite.

Hi everyone. I just joined veggieboards! I currently reside in Tampa but I am going to relocate to Lakeland for 3 or 4 months. I have read on the internet about Chaberlin's, a huge health food store over there. Is it any good? We have a couple stores here in Tampa but Chamberlin's looks huge from the pics. Has anyone been there?

Hello, everyone. I'm not in FL, but my baby sister is moving to Orlando, and I need some help with ideas for a care package to send. She's jobless for now, so I'm thinking things like a Target gift card and a grocery store gift card, but if there are any other Orlando-specific things that would be cool, please share! What's the best bet for a grocery store for her? She's not veg (yet - I'm still working on it), but I am planning a visit in the next couple of months and could use some veg-friendly restaurant recommendations as well. Thanks

Bump!

I haven't posted on this thread in awhile. Is there anyone in the Jacksonville area? I'd love to meet up with some VB'ers for lunch, potlucks, something.
