Ive read several books on veganism from all angles (health, environment and AR) but the books I have read usually focus heavily if not entirely on US statistics. Using these stats of course does not detract from the argument but I am interested to have information relating to the UK. Does anyone know of any good books that would cover these topics?

I am particularly interested in AR since the way animals are raised and slaughtered is controlled by government legislation and this could differ from the treatment in the US. Thanks for your help!

Scroll down the page here to find the 'Statistics section'. Well documented information.

Some more info here:

The problem with books is that by the time they are published the information is 2 or more years out of date. The online resources above are more current and draw on many different source for more accurate and timely information.

Don't forget to email the above societies for more detailed and specific information should you require it.

The RSPCA and Compassion in World Farming websites have information about how farmed animals are raised and slaughtered in the UK.
