I am actively involved with a Denver no-kill cat shelter that cares for 200 homeless cats and kittens. We are unique in that we have a room for FIV positive cats and actively promote their adoptability. We are participating in a Care2 contest in which the winning shelter receives $10,000. The Animal Rescue and Adoption Society is in dire finacial straits.
I became involved three years ago after adopting a second cat. I now have four including an elderly cat who been at the shelter for over 3 years and one who was declawed and then abandoned. This is a very unique shelter with its FIV room and a lovely enclosed backyard. It is also cage-free.
There are many wonderful shelters but this one is so deserving and so in need of help.
Thank you so much! ARAS is just 10 votes ahead of another shleter that is no-kill but cages cats and just does not do well by its cats...so all votes are so appreciated...we just have until November 1st.
