It says that it serves genetically modified organisms.

I'm not sure how I feel about this or if the article is just a satire. But if it is, I am very disturbed not only because they don't use real chickens (yay!), but also because I find it just uneasy about growing an organism.

This is an old 'rumour' but one that has probably managed to put quite a few people off KFC over the years!

 

If I ever have doubts about the veracity of things I look it up on Snopes.

Some chickens are genetically modified- though I don't think that has any bearing on the issue of animal welfare.

 

They're still sentient beings who are being held in small cages, mutilated (there's no genetic modification to remove beaks or feet- beaks are cut off early on, and feet are sent to China after the chickens are butchered), live a life or torment, and are then killed needlessly.

 

I'm quite sure KFC is still buying chickens who have been raised in terrible conditions until being slaughtered.
