I've been vegan for about 7 months and now I have a problem of always feeling tired. I also have a problem of getting cold quickly too.

I'm pretty sure It's the lack of vitamins. I took a test for anemia a few months ago and I was normal. I was wondering if there's any daily supplements that you guys recommend me taking. I'm not depressed. I don't think I have a thyroid problem either. If you guys recommend me to see a doctor to get some work done. What should I tell him to test me on? But, I would like to try some supplements out and see how I feel. How long would it take me to feel better after starting on supplements?

Well, I went to my local supplement store and was helped out by a vegan that works there. So, I was able to get some vegan friendly daily supplements. It's kinda expensive though.

I recommend a regular over-the-counter daily multi-vitamin. Most of them have vitamin B-12, the lack of which may or may not be the cause of your weariness. I had the same problem, until I started getting B-12 each day. You may also want to try some plant-based "digestive" enzymes, which can help maintain regularity. I'm currently using 'Peaceful Digestion,' sold by VegLife, which includes about ten enzymes, including alpha galactosidase, great for curing a tummy ache. Best of luck!



P.S.- Beware of 'Designer' vitamins. They can be very expensive, but are really no better than the grocery store variety.

Don't most over the counter daily multi-vitamins have gelatin in them? That's what I've found at least.

So you mean go ask a health shop for a bunch of B12 and do what they say daily to boost your (if) sleepiness ??
