Hi there! Obviously, I'm new... *waves* I've been lurking around for awhile now and I've finally given in to posting.
Mostly, because I have questions!
I'm working towards vegan (I don't eat milk, eggs or honey, but I don't think I'm perfect yet.) and fiance for the most part is, too. However, we both come from families of omnivores. Some of them are diabetic, making it harder to choose some vegan cuisine. They aren't very receptive to some vegan things like soy patties or hummus (WAAAAA!) it seems like.
We're planning on marrying in May. For our wedding, instead of a sit down dinner, we are doing a light buffet. I'm looking for suggestions on what to serve that will work for us all, as picky as everyone might be.
As for a wedding dress, I really want it to be vegan and I don't want to spend a lot on it. However, I'm also trying to go without sweatshop labor. Does anyone have any suggestions? No, I don't have a dress I can borrow, just to cut that off.
Also, as I said before, I'm not perfect. I want the wedding to be as animal friendly as possible. Are there things I should look out for? You know, those things that are so common, and when you find out there are animal products your all like ARGGH! and WHY?!
