Brand recomendations?

I love vegannaise. Never had nayonaise since vegannaise was the first one I tried and it's so good I didn't see the need to try the nayonaise!

Nayonnaise is good if you love Miracle Whip. Otherwise, go with Vegenaise. I MUCH prefer it over Nayoyuck. It's SO sweet. bleh!

I've been told that Nayonaise tastes like Miracle Whip which is why I've never tried it. I eat far too much Vegenaise!

People who love one tend to hate the other. So whatever you get, if you don't like it chances are you'll love the other.

Mr. Meatless likes Spectrum's vegan mayo.

Well, I used to be a huge Miracle Whip fan and I don't think Nayonaise tastes anything like it, I think it's disgusting...but I've had people argue quite vehemently that I didn't know what I was talking about and that can be true at times....so...... my advice is to try them both.

Oh, and I love Vegenaise by the way.

Well, I have to admit I've only had Miracle Whip once or twice in my life. And remember it vividly - such that when I tasted Nayonnaise it rushed back some childhood memories of being at my friend's house.

But it's quite likely that they do taste dissimilar... just that they tasted similar to me, after tastings separated by 20 years. ;p

well i'll be crazy and say that i've only ever had nayo and it tasted okay to me, not great but okay...

THEN however I whip up my own... reusing the jar

this can be to your personal deliciousness and is much much much better than anything bought.

per 4 oz silken tofu

1/3 + cup olive oil

2 tblsp lemon juice + a touch zest

2 tsp Dijon mustard

salt & pepper

even in my past when i reverted back to non-veganism I'd still make my own nayo...

mmm....

Vegenaise is good if you like that dried chemical taste. I mix in half a bottle of mustard with a jar vegenaise and it's okay then.

Heeehee, I just posted it last night so wouldn't have helped, even if you could go back in time

Wouldn't it be nice if they had testers out of each and you could try before you buy....? Alas...

I probably will try making that recipe with the silken tofu~ how long does it keep when you make it yourself?

I never had Veganaise. I like Miracle Whip, so I got the Nayonaise. I like to use mustard and mix it in like a coleslaw side dish I like. I think it tastes fine.

Maybe I should try the veganaise next time. I don't know, When I was younger I never liked regular Mayo. Hmmmm..

veganaise is really good, never tried the other stuff. i was a miracle whip fan. i usually add spices to the veganaise for my favorite sandwich in the world. hubby uses it to make tofu salad and stuff like that. whatever we make with the veganaise truns out pretty good. highly reccomend it.

Becca- I'm sure the official answer would be 'keeps up to two weeks' refrigerated, but I personally trust my own sniffer most...

I'm sure I've gleefully eaten two month old home made nayo.

Thanks! Yeah, I usually do the same thing. With eggs, I seriously NEVER looked at the dates. Only once did I ever open an egg and have it be bad, and it had sat in there for months and months. (I didn't use them much, lol)

I've only had vegenaise and I absolutely love it. I was always a big mayo fan, but I wish I would have known about this stuff before I went veggie.
