kuebiko

n. a state of exhaustion inspired by acts of senseless violence, which force you to revise your image of what can happen in this world—mending the fences of your expectations, weeding out all unwelcome and invasive truths, cultivating the perennial good that’s buried under the surface, and propping yourself up like an old scarecrow, who’s bursting at the seams but powerless to do anything but stand there and watch.

Defining a feeling can bring closure to the feeler, as though by naming it suddenly there must be others who feel just this way. I like this word and it makes me think a lot of veganism and the vegans on this board. I experience kuebiko in regards to animal products and especially meat and meat eaters.

I had no idea they had a word for that feeling.  Now my despair has a name

I shall try and use this word in conversation today, should mess with someone's head if nothing else ..... haha!

I think he's cute. I doubt it's coincidence that the word draws on a god of wisdom typically portrayed as an immobile scarecrow.
