B: Rich Roll style recovery smoothie post workout this morning.

L: Quinoa, wild rice and mushroom muffins -- on fleek -- and about a half a ton of cherries.

Dinner? A slice of raw vegan banana cream pie. Uggghhhh. Tasty, but so much fat. I feel disgusting and have no appetite for a real dinner.

Plenty of sun for vitamin D. Still haven't taken my b12.

I thought that was what you meant. And I do like the taste of salt. But commercially-baked bread tends to be high in salt, as do most prepared foods I buy, either in the supermarket or restaurant. Since I make my own salt-free bread in the colder months and eat store-bought bread (and other salty foods) during the warm months when I'm perspiring a lot, what with my walking, gardening, and cycling, I think my salt needs sort of take care of themselves.

Today so far (all with water to drink): B: rolled oats with a kiwi fruit and apple.
L: my own home-made chili, mixed with a cubed unpeeled potato boiled with rosemary. Two slices of pumpernickel bread (and some sunflower kernels, I think...)
D: ???? I'm thinking about it, using this thread for inspiration.

B: cherry protein smoothie (with dandelion greens) and coffee

L: red potato hash browns made from scratch with sauerkraut I fermented myself.

S: peanut butter-banana "frosty" with cacao swirls (I'm working on finishing this now. It may be too heavy after the hash browns.)

D: probably a salsa-stuffed avocado with black beans and corn. I'll probably also make some juice later.

I know No Whey says almond isn't as creamy as soy--but I'm thinking she means the kind in the cartons that have carageeneen. I make my own soy milk, and almond milk, with a soy milk machine. Nothing but beans (or nuts) and water. In that case the almond milk is much creamier! Cashew milk even more so.

If you're looking to try store bought almond milk Blue Diamond has a much milder almond taste than Silk. Silk is more almondy. Aldi has a nice almond milk too

B: Tempeh, bok choy and fresh pineapple simmered in a nonstick skillet with ginger and garlic powder

ms: Glass of almond milk and handful of dates

L: cooked red cabbage, apple, beet, black bean and brown rice with balsamic vinegar and fennel

D: Falafel patties, green beans, steamed sweet potato (just plain nothing on it), almond milk

I ate homemade enchiladas yesterday and made the mistake of adding corn kernels which my body DOES NOT LIKE and I spent all night with waves of intestinal crampy diarrhea. My abdomen is still in knots. Ugh. I always forget how bad I react to whole corn.

This is true, minus the carageenan. (The brand I buy, Alpro, is carageenan-free.) I should've clarified. I've never actually tried homemade almond milk. It sounds lovely!

B: smoothie with frozen oranges, frozen strawberries, and just a bit of canned coconut milk. It was almost like an orange julius!

L: Turkish veggie stew and pita bread

D: leftover stew and rice with a lovely glass of cabernet franc

The stew is from this little hole in the wall cafe down the street from where I work. It was way fancier on the inside than it was on the outside. I couldn't finish all of it before my second shift started, hence having more of it for dinner. I need to take the SO there soon.

As yummy as everything was, I definitely want more to eat. Time to search for snacks!

Yesterday:
B - Watermelon, strawberry and cucumber smoothie
S - Nakd bar x2
L - Onion bagel with vegan sausage and cheeze sauce
S - Crackers with pb
D - A veg and grain pot that a friend kindly bought for me because the bbq at work didn't bother to provide anything other than undressed salad leaves AGAIN, despite having me marked vegan on the list... I'm really getting fed up with this. 'There's quiche, you can eat that can't you? No? Oh. Well there's salad. And icecream for pudding.' Facepalm.

I then ate a mountain of strawberries that were unused for the Pimms, and some toast when I got home at midnight.
